About the flag of Eritrea
The flag of Eritrea — officially State of Eritrea — is flown in a 1:2 ratio. Eritrea sits in Africa, and its flag is part of the standard set used in every quiz on this site.
The current design dates from 1995. Eritrea has its capital at Asmara and a population of about 3.6 million, figures that come from the same dataset the quizzes are built on.
As an emoji the flag is 🇪🇷, produced from the regional indicator letters for ER. The dedicated emoji page has the codepoints, HTML entity, CSS value and shortcode if you need to paste it somewhere.
