About the flag of Réunion
The flag of Réunion — officially Réunion Island — is flown in a 2:3 ratio. Réunion sits in Africa, and its flag is part of the standard set used in every quiz on this site.
The current design dates from 1975. Réunion has its capital at Saint-Denis and a population of about 886 thousand, figures that come from the same dataset the quizzes are built on.
As an emoji the flag is 🇷🇪, produced from the regional indicator letters for RE. The dedicated emoji page has the codepoints, HTML entity, CSS value and shortcode if you need to paste it somewhere.
